This Blog Is Changing

It’s been a while since my last post. The school holidays are always a busy time for me, and they go by so quickly that I like to spend as many moments with the family as I can.We spent a few days at the seaside. It was a relaxing time and it provided me with an opportunity to mull over a few things.

I hope all my readers are keeping well and I hope you’ll bear with me until the end of this post.

There’s not that much to get through,  but I guess I’d better get on with it.

Why This Blog is changing.

This blog began life as a place where I could display my art and as a vehicle for that, it has worked well. However, I have many passions in life such as reading, writing, photography, meditation, vegetarianism, the outdoors and my inner journey. I find it difficult to separate my passions because they are so intertwined, and with that in mind and after many hours consideration I have decided to expand this blog to include all of my interests. This decision has not come easy; it goes against  the ‘law’ of blogging which states it is better to stick with one topic, but this is what my intuition is telling me I must do.

Who am I to argue?

Life is a journey.

Life is a journey.  It is a road with no end.

When I started drawing, little did I know where it would lead? Drawing was my form of meditation, and making marks on paper has led me to examine my inner self more and more. I have read numerous books, I meditate daily and I have become more aware of who I am and, perhaps more importantly, who I am not.

I am not the mind conditioned person I was just a few years ago.

Awareness is my main objective now. And the more aware I become, the more conscious I am of how imprisoned I was (and still can be on occasions), by my ego and its attachment to materialism and materiality. As a result, I have made many changes to my situation, which I will be writing about in future posts. I have discovered a sense of freedom that I have not enjoyed since childhood and I am loving every minute of it. Again, more about that in future posts, too.

I have also learnt to trust my intuition more, take a risk, and see where it leads. So from now on visitors here will find information on a host of subjects, which interest me and which I hope will interest you, too.

I’ll still be posting my artwork, but I’ll also be writing articles on my many interests, adding links to stuff I like and which I hope will be useful to my readers.

It should be fun No more ‘should be’s.’ It will be fun. It will be awesome.
