Also, we've had a fair sprinkling of snow this week. Hardly a morning has passed that hasn't seen us wake to find the garden covered with the white stuff. I've noticed the cold weather plays havoc with my pains. They are much worse when it's cold, and I usually stay indoors unless it's a necessity to go out. But I did notice a first sign that spring may not be too far away; a clump of Snowdrops daring to poke their heads out in the freezing weather.
Anyway, the week was not a total disaster. I did manage to draw and post my drawing every day.
Below is today's drawing. I hope you like it. I'm having great fun drawing and doodling in my sketchbooks every day.

Have a great PPF and a super weekend.
This post is linked to Paint Party Friday.
Sorry you had a hard week, and I know what you mean about pains getting worse in cold weather - my joints are killing me just now. Love the new doodle, and the brightly coloured one, those markers have lovely colours. Hope the coming week will be an easier one for you. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHi, Valerie. Thank you for your kind comment. My pains do get worse in the cold, but it's just one of those things. Just got to keep on keeping on.
DeleteLove your work......and oh. Snow...how lucky...we are having 40 plus degrees here....way too hot in summer here....happy ppf...(#3’ xx
ReplyDeleteHi, Mandy. Thank you for visiting and for your comment. Oh, I'd much rather have a bit of heat, but 40 degrees does sound a bit too hot.
DeleteI love doodling and yours looks terrific. So handy to be able to just have a pen and a sketch book in your bag so you can art anywhere.
ReplyDeleteHappy Paint Party Friday
Vicki-Ann :)
Hi, Sandy. Thank you for commenting. I've only recently begun to carry a sketch book with me. But the more I draw, the more I want to draw, so it will probably be a regular thing now.
DeleteA fine and exactly work !
ReplyDeleteI like it
Thank you, Jutta. Your comment is very much appreciated.
DeleteYour doodling looks very artistical! I like the bright colors on your second one too.

Happy PPF and weekend xx
Hi, sirkkis. Thank you for commenting, and it is good that is beginning to show.
DeleteBeautiful work and I love colour and snowdrops for that matter. Sorry to hear you were in hospital.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine. Only in hospital for a check-up.
DeleteHi John. I am sorry you had a bad week as well. I agree, sitting in waiting rooms is NOT fun at all but you used that time well. Your art is just amazing to me. I love the basket weave on the fist one. Anyway that is how I see it. Have a warm and paint free day.
ReplyDeleteHi, Nicole. Thank you for commenting. Waiting rooms are awful, but I'll be taking my sketchbook along from now on. Drawing made it a bit better. I love that pattern, too. Such fun and very relaxing to draw.
DeleteLove how one of your fabulous black and white sketches looks in color, John.
ReplyDeleteHello, Faye. Thank you for your kind words. Very much appreciated.
DeleteA busy time for you and I am sure that pain was not helping you along.
ReplyDeleteYour art is very beautiful and intricate...that is a great way to take one's mind off their problems.
The snowdrops are lovely to see, too...thank you~
Thank you, Jan. Some weeks are busier than others, but I really can't wait till this cold snap is over.
DeleteSorry you had a bit of a rough week. Hope all is much better now. And yes, the cold can do a number on the body can't it...
ReplyDeletefantastic doodling with or without the color! But the color somehow gives it more life. Happy PPF!
Hi, Linda. Thank you for visiting and for your kind words. Yes, I agree; the colour does add a bit of life. I'm beginning to experiment with colour a bit more.
DeleteSorry to read this, but good, that you could make a doodle every day.
ReplyDeleteI well know that: in these months pain is especially nasty and strong, sigh!
Have a joy in your weekend
Thank you, Mascha, for commenting. Roll on summer.
DeleteYeah, life happens and is no fun sometimes. Hope next week will be better! Still, you managed a beautiful exquisite drawing again, and I also like the vibrant colours in the other one. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteHi, denthe. Thank you for your kind words. Life does happen, doesn't it. And when it does often it's no fun at all, but it's best to look on the bright side.
DeleteBeautiful sketches as always and the colour looks so bright and happy! Love it! Hope your pain improves as the weather warms :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Sal. Thank you for commenting. Glad you like the colour. It's something I'm getting more interested in.
DeleteSorry to hear about the rough week but happy that you can benefit from the meditative
ReplyDeleteeffects from doodling and art work. Your colorful doodle is beautiful but that black and white one is stunning as well. Hoping for a better week for you, Happy PPF
Thank you, Susan, for visiting and for your kind words.
DeleteOh snowdrops! Love them! Pretty journal pages too.
ReplyDeleteHi, Colourful World. Yes, nice to see the first blooms of the year.
DeleteBeautiful drawing and the other drawing looks great in color too! I have a lot more pain in the cold too. Right now we are having sunny, record-breaking, warm and dry weather in Northern California. I love the weather but we really need the rain and snowpack! Maybe we could trade, lol! Hope this next week is a little more fun. Hugz, Rasz
ReplyDeleteHi, Rasz. Thank you for your kind comment. I don't like it too warm, but a bit warmer than it is now would be good.
DeleteI love the detail in your work--and the colors you applied to this one make my eyes SO happy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beth, for your kind comment. Very much appreciated.
