Drawing Practice?

The more I draw and doodle, the more questions I get asked. One query that keeps popping up in the course of conversation is, "How often do you practice drawing?"

Most people seem a bit surprised when I answer. But the truth is, I don't practice, I just draw, and draw and draw. I don't know if that counts as practice or not, but that's what I do.

Paint Party Friday - Going Big

Where did that week go?

Is it really Friday already?

This week has flown by. It is true what they say; time does go  quicker the older one gets. It doesn't seem like it was seven days ago that I was posting for PPF.

I finished my daily doodle challenge almost with a sigh of relief. Doing the artwork was not a problem, but blogging every day does encroach on time that could be spent getting more drawing completed.

I was getting a bit bored drawing in my smallish sketch books, so I decided to jump in and try something a bit bigger. The drawing below is on an A3 sketchbook I found sitting on a shelf. I found that working in this bigger format allowed me to be more expressive with my line work.

Hope you like it.

Have a great PPF and a super weekend.

Paint Party Friday - Daily Doodle #27

It's been another reasonably productive week. It hasn't got any warmer, and the schools have stopped for their mid-term break, but I've carried on with my daily doodle challenge and I've been experimenting with colour a bit more. Today's drawing, below, is based on a stained glass window I saw somewhere.

Have a great PPF and a super weekend.
