Paint Party Friday - Halloween is Coming

Halloween is just around the corner. The kids have finished school for the holidays and the weather is becoming more Autumnal by the day. The temperature has taken a noticeable plunge. I had to turn the heating on this morning; the first time for ages.

I'm still busy with my latest writing project, but I did find the time to do some drawing this week. And for the first time in weeks I opened my watercolour box. I love all the colours of Autumn, so decided to a quick watercolour sketch of a local scene.

Hope you like it and have a great weekend.

  3. This is beautiful, a perfect Autumnal scene! I love the atmospheric energy and the subtle color palette. Those trees are made of poetry; whispy, grey, tattered and powerful!
    Happy PPF

    1. Hi, Victoria. Thank you for stopping by and for commenting. I tend to use a limited palette. It makes a painting hold together better I think.

    1. Hi, Linda. Thank you for commenting. One of the reasons I like watercolour is because of how it can be blended on the page.

  7. Wonderful in colors, very atmospheric, looks like a november day...
We both (my love and I) celebrate more Samhain as a spiritual holiday, only for us. Halloween has not a tradition in Germany, although in latest years it comes more in fashion as a horrible masquerade.
    Enjoy your weekend
