Paint Party Friday - Sunset Over The City

I've been doing a lot of pencil drawing this week. Sometimes I think it's good to get back to basics and just sit down with a sketchbook and and a few pencils.  I've decided to post this small, colourful drawing I did a few weeks ago while the rest of the family were watching television. I find very little to interest me on television, so I usually take up position in my favourite armchair with a few pens and some watercolour pencils. It's much more fulfilling to create something in the evening instead of watching the soaps or the latest 'reality' television show. I really don't see the point.

Anyway, here's my post for PPF. Hope you like it.

 6" x 4 1/2". Ink and watercolour pencil.

  1. Love it! Almost zentangle-like patterns in the houses. I recently got back into drawing and started with the Basics, too. Pencils that is. :)

  4. Love your houses under the colourful sky. I agree with you about the TV, there's only so many times you can watch the repeats of the repeats there, and the rest is abominable! Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie

  8. I love the contrast between the strong warm colours of the sky and the black and white from the buildings. I hardly ever watch TV, so I can totally relate to your feelings :-)
