Letting Loose

I've been getting a bit carried away on the creative front these past few days. At the weekend I don't get as much time as I'd like to get out my sketchbook and pens, but here's something I put together last night while the rest of the family were glued to the television screen. You'll have to excuse the quality of the second image. I used my scanner, which really has seen better days. I need to get a new one, but that'll have to wait till after Christmas. I like to spoil everyone as much as I can at the festive season, especially my daughter, so funds will be a bit low until it's all over.

Anyway, here's the latest drawing from my sketchbook. I think the images look better if you click on them.

Strange Places.

  1. This is totally gorgeous John, just LOVE it! That was an evening well spent. My scanner is okay, but my laptop is totally on the blink, and needs to be resuscitated almost daily! Oh well, keeps me occupied! Have a great Sunday, hugs, Valerie

    1. Thank you, Valerie-Jael. Yes, I'd rather be doing something like that than watching TV. Glad you like it.

  4. So much texture! I have to say that the circle motif you have used in the background has to be one of my favourites. It can be used with such effect by altering the size of the circles, it is wonderfully versatile and you have used it so effectively.

I also particularly like the rounded-square-edged flower at the centre of the design. The white petals with the edge design works really well.

Thank you so much for sharing.

    Best wishes,
    Liz
